How do I rename a NetWorker client?

In very old versions of NetWorker (versions before 6.0.x), this procedure was challenging and poorly-documented, so it was a frequent question on the NetWorker mailing list. The procedure is now documented in the NetWorker Administration Guide, and is valid for all versions of NetWorker after 6.0. Please review the NetWorker Administration Guide, in particular the chapter on NetWorker Client Management.

The main point to remember is to make a note of the Client ID attribute for the client before you delete it, and then use the same Client ID when you create the new client.
