TSM supports all major brands of tape devcies. You should check the READ.ME files to see if you have to install additional device drivers.

Some of the common libraries and tape drives running in TSM environments are as follows:

• 3494 Library Manager with 3590 tape devices
• ATL libraries and tape drives
• DLT tape drives
• Internal 4mm and 8mm tape drives from the server.
• Storage Tek libraries, such as the 9710 with DLT tape drives or the 9740 tape drives.
