Yes, Backup Central has completely changed, but all the popular stuff from the old site is now in this site.  All the product directories, the FAQ-O-Matics, and free book excerpts have been moved into the Wiki , which will allow you to help us keep it up to date.

I wasn't able to keep them up to date myself, but with your help, we just might pull it off. All of the following has moved inside the Wiki:

  • NetBackup FAQ
  • NetWorker FAQ
  • TSM FAQ
  • Free Backup Software
  • Commercial Backup Software
  • Data Protection Management Software
  • Bare Metal Recovery Software
  • Tape Drive Directory
  • Optical Drive Directory

We've also added some new directories:

  • Continuous Data Protectioin (CDP) Software
  • Near-Continuous Data Protection (Near-CDP) Software
  • De-duplication Backup Software
  • Disk targets
  • Tape drives, end of lifed
  • Optical targets, end of lifed

And, of course, this:

  • The Backup & Recovery Book Wiki

Click on FAQ/Wiki Home in the navigation bar to see the Wiki.
