BEX Job Handler

We are currently running Syncsort Backup Express version 3.0. Our issue is Exchange DIFR backups are failing with Status 4. According to support this is caused by the "Job Handler" timing out and it requires a patch to which there are none. Has anyone else encountered this issue and if so, what have you done to correct it? Thanks
