Question about moving data to another stg pool directory container
January 31, 2018 02:59AM
Hi to all

Previously Storage container , I used the process of move nodedata to move nodenames from storage to another storage.

With container storage pool is not allowed , anybody can point to another command to move nodename to another storage pool ( both storage pools are Directory container)

Best Regard in Advance

Robert

Hi Robert,

you can’t.

Maybe you could work around that:

setup replication to another (temp) server
replicate the node
delete the replstate from the node on both ends
del file on the first server
update the node/domain/mgmtclass to store the data in the desired pool
replicate back

untested, just a wild idea.

That "should" work. As a safe measure, you can rename the original node on
the original server instead of deleting it. Delete the renamed node once
you are comfortable the procedure worked.
