DefaultReportHome action invalid resource type
December 27, 2018 05:59AM
Every day at 8am I get the below four messages in the daemon.raw output since I upgraded our NetWorker install from 8.2.4.12 to 9.2.1.5 on December 17.. I've dealt with it (today) by disabling the Task (via nsradmin, since NMC refuses to admit that NSR Task's exist). I was wondering if anyone has a different solution to recommend?

I don't have a different solution to recommend, but I can confirm that
we're seeing the exact same thing.

My coworker that did the 8.2 to 9.x upgrade has a bunch of post-upgrade
support requests for DellEMC, looks like this should be added to the list.

Tim,

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll note that I did a 9.2.1.5 new install on a test machine, and that NSR Task is not created. So, I think the correct action is really to delete it (and I wonder why the upgrade did not either delete it or at least disable it).

When I sent my first email, I hadn't checked the knowledgebase. There's
an exact match KB article (000519327) that covers the issue. It is
listed as a "Code Bug", which confirms it's a bug in the upgrade process.

The KB article provides nsradmin input that disables (but does not delete)
the task.
