DataProtector Windows FP Server backup configuration

We have a F&P server with a 250 GB E drive. The backup takes 8+ hours to complete. Is it possible to break this drive into multiple sessions? Would this help to stream more data? DP is configured to accept 4 sessions.
Thanks.

If the backup is taken over SAN then the backup will be fast and will finish soon.

Another option is to take backup using more than one drive.

Hope this will help u..
