perhaps the failure is with the file attributes, permissions and stuff like that.
I thought of that initially myself, but dreaded that task for checking all those folders! My rationalization for no ...

Perhaps the problem is not in reading the file itself but its attributes.

The Incomplete status indicates that one or more files could not be backed up.
The message indicates which file was missed.
