HI I have a sbs 2003 server SP2 and fully windows updated, recently my brick level backup just hangs, If I exclude the brick level from thebackup all is ok. It will backup about 6 gigs and then stop Sad

Has anyone seen this before? I have to reboot the server to kill the job, stopping the engines will not work Sad

Can you anyone help me

It is probably hanging up on one specific mailbox, and probably an attachement. Enable trace to track it down.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ ComputerAssociates \ BrightStor ARCserve Backup \ DSAgent \ CurrentVersion \ agent \ dbaxchg2

Value name: Debug
Data type: REG_DWORD
Data: 1

Other acceptable data values = 2, 3 (higher value generating the most detail in the log)
logs to check:
dbaxchg2.log
dbaxchg2.M01.D06.H12.PID278.trc

thanks will test that now, I think i found the mailbox! I'll keep you posted
