Hey Guys.
Server: DELL PowerEdge 860 | Server 2003 Standard R2 SP2
When I try to install ARCserve 12 I always receive a message saying that the setup failed.
The log located in C:\etpki_install.log says:
Parameters: mode=install, caller=ARCserve, instdir=C:\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\Etpki, verbose=true
This installer contains ETPKI Version 3.2.2
Using user specified install directory
Checking for Permissions
Disk space is available
Using installation directory: C:\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\Etpki
Existing Version RV=1
Unable to read embedded file table
Unable to hide msvcp71.dll
Unable to hide msvcr71.dll
Install unsuccessful, return value is 3
Does anyone have any idea of what could be wrong?
If someone tell if there is a way to trace the installation steps to check the problem it would be nice either.
I'm sorry if I said something stupid but I'm kinda new to ARCserve and I already googled the problem and did not find an answer to my problem.
