I'm having a little problem reconciling my log info with what really happened.
So I get the following message in BrightStor's logs:
Quote:
09/01/2010 01:28:52 AM E3406 Unable to read file. (FILE=\\WINNT40\C$\abc.xxx, EC=The parameter is incorrect.)
As a result BrightStor is reporting that the backup was incomplete.
However, should I try perform a restore all the data is there can thus can be restored.
What is bugging me is the errors. Why? What is causing it? Is this a sign to catastrophic failure?
A little background on my environment. ARCserve 12.5 is running on a Windows 2008 Server. The problem data is on Windows NT 4.0 machine. ARCserve connects via the root hidden share. Some of the data being backed up is an Oracle DB, but a batch file is scheduled to run to stop and the start back the services.
ANY input would be greatly appreciated guys.
Thanks for hearing my out.
