Backup Central

I am getting this error when trying to run a backup
The Media Group you are submitting to is busy. A Run Now job
cannot be submitted to a busy Meidia Group.

No other backups are running that I know of. Does Anyone know what can cause this?

Hi Erik,

have you try to reset the engine? or maybe you need check for some update.
I have experience that the drive controller may cause such problem.

see this issue can happen becase of various problems.
1) The drive may be busy.
2) The job might be running.
3) The tapes may be busy updating.

Basically the massage tries to explain that this is not the right time to run the backups.

You migh be trying to run the backups after restarting the services which might start the inventory of the tapes and hence the tapes might not be ready.

Its actually simple and you just have to look at the basic things like the tapes , backup jobs etc.

Was this problem solved by anyway? I got similar error in ARCserve 11.5 SP3 for Linux.
