Backup Central

Hi guys, I'm with a problem in ARCserve 12.5, recently I changed the backup server, in the new server I created a new backup job, sometimes the job calls for a secunda tape, the first time when the second tape is blank the backup is done normally. The second time it occurs the Arcserve backup starts with the first tape but when we use the secondary tape the Job requests a second blank tape and I can not use the same tape that I used in the previous cycle.

If anyone has some information about it I thank you.

you have to create sets of 2 tapes

when it happens to me. i have 5 tapes monday to friday.

i buyed 5 blanck tapes and i labeled monday2 to friday2 but i didn't format it.

When arcserve ask for a second tape, it automatic format the tape and set a name similar to monday-2

i solved that way, maybe theres a better one.
