You're looking to do one of the hardest things to do and not pay anything? I'd say at least you should pay for Recover My Files. I've never used it, but if it wants a key, that means they know that once you use it, you'll never pay. So they make you pay first. Seems reasonable to me.

Subject: [Backups] File Recovery
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this and I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right area, if I'm not, sorry about that!
I recently had a problem with my laptop, the screen turned black after start up and wouldn't do anything after that. I took it in to get it fixed and the technician said he would back up all of my files, which he didn't.
I'm not sure whether he reformatted my computer, or just reinstalled windows. I was advised by a friend that I can recover my files regardless, so I looked into a data recovery expert, but they charge way too much.
I downloaded a program called Recover My Files, but in order to save the files, I need a serial key, is there any way to get this without purhcasing the software? If not, are there any other programs or alternative solutions?
Thanks in advance!
