IBM LTO3 tape drivers

Post IBM LTO3 tape drivers
Hi All,
First time post here, and first time entry into the LTO backup scene too.

I've purchased a second hand IBM Ultrium3 LTO drive (I believe it's a 3580 drive), which was quite expensive and fully functional.

I'm struggling to find the correct windows XP drivers, and having mixed results with backing up. Fixcentral doesn't let me download the drivers. Here's the link:

http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/swg/selectFixes?parent=Tape+drives&product=ibm/Storage_Tape/3580+Tape+Drive+and+Express+Model&release=1.0&platform=All&function=all

but the drivers never download.

Does anyone know why it's so hard to get these drivers, and any clues on how I can find them? I've tried IBM support but they're not replying to my messages

Any help appreciated!
M

That link takes you to the drive firmware, not device drivers for your operating system. Try this link:

http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/swg/selectFixes?parent=ibm~ST~Tapedevicedriversandsoftware&product=ibm/Storage_Tape/Tape+device+drivers&release=1.0&platform=Windows&function=all

Also, you will need to register a login for the IBM site. They changed this recently. Nothing to purchase, just have to register a login.
