Has anyone used this program (DT Utilities PC Backup Pro 11)? I like the interface and the fact that it supports copy operations - simple copying of files from one directory to another without packing them in any way. Just like you would copy/paste files in Windows, but without having to copy every folder by hand. I like to have my backups easily accessible.
I only have one gripe. There is an option to validate the files after copying. There is even a recommendation to use it to make sure the files were copied properly. The funny thing is, I can't seem to find any proof that any validation actually happens, even if the option is selected. The copy job lasts about an equal time with or without "validation" and the logs say nothing about validation even if "detailed log" is selected. For comparison, the backup jobs do show validation in the logs.
Data validation is important to me, so if I can't find any proof of the validation then I have to assume it doesn't happen. I've tested with both version 10 and 11, same results.
