Howdy
We have an STK SL500. I know there is supposed to be an activation password and once this has been entered, all hardware should be enabled. According to the previous admins (whom I am replacing) this was done. The tape drives can be seen on the fabric, but the robot seems to be off in its own world. Through the console, I can login, see the robot and it's health is tickitybooh.
Odd thing is when I configure an IP for the unit to enable the web console, it reboots to permanently save its config (again, odd) and the effin thing refuses to save the IP/netmask etc.. that I configured. So maybe this is pointing to something different, or maybe it's part of the problem.
We also apparently have no h/w support on this unit. Lovely.
If anyone has been through a similar situation, and have managed to overcome this sort of mess, I would dearly love to hear from you.
We are using NetBackup to drive the unit. Or at least, trying to use it.
