Post Windows Home Server dropping Drive Extender
Bit of an insurrection over at the Windows Home Server blog where it's been announced that Drive Extender is being dropped from the next version of WHS.

For those unfamiliar- DE is the technology that lets you create disk arrays of different size disks by using duplication across spindles to protect your data rather than RAID.

Strangely, the WHS team cites larger hard drives as a reason to move away from duplication and back to RAID.

Anyone else out there have thoughts on this? And yes- since WHS provides backup services for home PC's this IS backup related.
