Usually this is because dp runs as system, a user that can't access the share. You have to make it run as a regular admin user and give that access to the share.

Subject: [DP] Back up NAS to tape...
OK one more question, (for now)

I have a NAS device that I would like to have backed up to a LTO tape. the problem I am having is trying to get the data Protector to see it as a Client. I mapped out the share folders to my PC and installed the client on my PC however I don't see network drives on my computer from Data Protector, anyone know how I can get Data Protector to see the NAS?
