Drive Pools/Groups in HP DP

Post Drive Pools/Groups in HP DP
Hi,

Is there any way to group for example 3 drives as "pool" and then create a backup policies using 1 free drive from pool? It works very well in Netbackup but i didn't find a way to reproduce such configurations in HP DP.

I've seen the LoadBalance feature, but it used all drives that were selected to use, so no other policy can use them at the time. Maybe there is a way to limit usage to 1 drive in selected LB list of drives?

Thx in advance

Post Drive Pools/Groups in HP DP
Hello,

As per ur example, confgure the backup spec using all the 3 drives and set the load balancing to use min of 1 drive. So in this case what happens is that the backup will run if any 1 of the drive among these 3 drives are free.

Hope this answers ur question.

If ur reequirement is different, then please explain in details.

Regards- DP
