Post Error 100: Data Protector Express is unable to determine the
I've had HP Data Protector for a couple of weeks now, and have made a few backups.

Today though I couldn't login to the Administrator console, because I get an "Error 100 Data Protector Express is unable to determine the host domain." when I use localhost as the host name (or localhost.localdomain) and Admin as the userid.

I noticed that until now the host name field had been checked, but is now blank.

This has worked for the past two weeks and now it doesn't. I can use regular tar command in Fedora Linux to backup.

One thing that might be the problem is related to SELinux... when the SELinux Troubleshooter complained something was being accessed, I just checked the checkbox to let it through.

Also, as I wrote above, I've just had this software since Sept. 19th.... version 3... and it's fully registered and that. Do I need to upgrade to version 5 after the 2 week period?

Do I need to reinstall the Data Protector software?

And is there supposed to be something in the Services list, I can't remember. It's only been 2 weeks.
