My management team has decided to migrate from CommVault 8.0 SP4 to HP Data Protector. I am looking for any information from anyone that is backing up Windows 2003/2008 and VMWare with HP Data Protector.
My Current environment is 250 Windows File servers, 20 SQL servers and approximately 150 of the Windows File servers are VMWare virtual servers. In addition I have 15 TB SAN I backup.
Total weekly backup is 27 TB with DeDupe enabled.
How to you backup VMWare? VCB or VMDK snapshots at the Virtual Host or on storage?
