Post Access Denied Errors on Mailbox Backup on just one user
I have been getting these errors all week, and it's driving me nuts. The worst part about it becasue of the failure of just this one mailbox the whole backup fails. I need some serious help. Here is what I am getting.

Backup- \\MAIL1\Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes
V-79 57344-33928 - Access is denied
Access Denied to file [USERS NAME] . BlackBerryHanndheldInfo.BlackBerryRefIDSearchFolder1_7.Fwd: ****'05-'07 Cash AAA HEQ Offerings****
V-79-57344-65033 - Directory not found. Cannot Backup directory. [USER NAME]. top of Information Store. Inbox [Hidden Name] (Barclays) and it its Subdirectories.

This error is seriously killing me. I haven't really found any information that has helped me in the slightest. I would really appreciate some help.

--- Please specify the Backup Exec Version and the application version you are using---

Is it Exchange 2007 or 2003??

I. Ensure that the Backup Exec Logon Account has sufficient rights to back up the Exchange Database per the following:

Backup Exec logon account has Domain Admin and Local Administrative rights.
Backup Exec logon account is assigned the Exchange Server Administrators role in Exchange.
Verify that a unique mailbox for the Backup Exec Logon Account resides on the Exchange Server and is not hidden from the Global Address List. http://support.veritas.com/docs/256537

II. To resolve the failure when user accounts or mailboxes have been disabled and when running a GRT (Granular Restore Technology) Backup to tape perform one or more of the following steps:

Assign "Full Mailbox Access" and "Associated External Account" rights to SELF for the disabled mailbox. http://support.veritas.com/docs/274775
Reactivate the mailbox by reconnecting it to an active user account in the Active Directory.
Purge the mailbox from the Mailbox store.
Perform the backup to a Backup to Disk (B2D) Folder instead of a tape device and see how it goes.

see if that helps Smile

I want to know that do i have to Reactivate the Account to an active user and purge the mailbox from the Mailbox Store.

As i dont want to do both of this as i may need those emails in future.
