Backup Central

Hi,
I managed to setup the BE 12.5 and backup successfully of 1st information store in the exchange cluster. But when i restore , failed with the error message . I changed the default settings and dont' do the redirection also. Pls. correct me any thing wrong.

Final Error Code : 0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exit and are online , and then try again.
Final Error Category : Resource Error

I followed relevant knowledge base article on symantec, but still cannot resolve it. Pls. advise.

This is probably not the right place for you to be asking this type of question. You should really be contacting Symantec Support with your issue.

Be sure to fully list out what OS, and versions of applications(Exch) as well as BE version with hotfixes installed. As without that info, no one can help you.


If you want to save a little headache while waiting on the phone, do an online submission from their mysupport portal.

Hi, make sure the account Backup Exec is using has a mailbox; is visible in the GAL; is member of local administrators group on the Exchange server(s).
