backup exec 10D with 64 bits linux clients problem

Post backup exec 10D with 64 bits linux clients problem
Hello,

I am using backup exec on a windows server 2003 with backup exec 10.1 rev 5629,
and a NAS with backup exec version 9.1 rev 4691.

I recently upgraded a linux client on RHEL4, 32 bits (where my data to be saved is ) kernel 2.4 to a 64 bits RHEL5.1 kernel 2.6 linux box.

Since then, from the server side I don't see directories anymore, only files located in my root directory /ext.

here is my agent.cfg :
name agent_client
force_address XX.XX.XX.XX
export /ext as /ext

tell tapeserver
tell nas_server

tell_interval 30
exclude_dir /dev
exclude_dir /proc

I tried agents be_agnt_269803.tar , nls_agnt_262592.tar with same results.
When I install the agent, i don't have the choice for 2.6 kernel, so i take 2.4 kernel.

I would like to avoid having to upgrade backup exec, is there a way around it ?

Thank you ,

Laurent

solved,

on 64 bits RH platforms the Symyntec backup Exec server get confused adn think directories are remote for unknown reason.

in the agent.cfg this was solved by setting :

export /ext as ext include_remote

Conclusion : no need to go to the "ralux" clients, old clients seem to work as fine.
