ENVIRONMENT:

Backup Server: Windows 2003 Standard Edition with SP
Drive: Buffalo NAS Box with virtual tape drives
Software: Backup Exec 12 for Windows Servers
Agent Server: Windows 2003 Standard Edition with SP2, SQL server 2005
We are currently in the process of migrating from Arcserve V11.5 to Backup Exec V12 but I am currently unable to backup some of the SharePoint databases on the SQL server.
The following error is recorded in the job log:
Backup- Mysite - \Content-DB 1 (Server name\WSS_Content_Mysite:)
Access denied to file WSS_Content_Mysite
Error writing file data.
Went to the Symantec Knowledge Base and follwed the link from: Results for: V-79-57344-33928

Went through the steps to ensure the correct setting were in place and ran trial backup job again. This rendered the same results.
Any ideas?
