Well I see a few EXE's crashing causing a memory dump... For starters, run live update on the BE server, get all the updates. Reboot.

Then re-push out the remote agent on all servers, and reboot.
(Liveupdate doesn't update clients only the BE server. It will update the binaries for the agents though)

Then try the restore again.

All else fails, make sure to post your question in the symantec.com/connect forums within the BackupExec sub section. That forum gets a lot of traffic and responses.

Hi Mitch,

thank you for your reply,
i have just checked the BE server is fully updated, there are no more updates coming up in the LiveUpdate
the Server agent's were also up to date, just to be safe i re-installed them all and restarted

no change in the situation :S, this is driving me crazyyyyy!!!

any other ideas come to mind? thank you for your help.
i'll try the Symantec forums too in the mean time.
