Hi,
We have a Windows 2000 SBS server which is running Backup Exec 9.1 and has in the past been quite reliable as far as backups go but of late it has started to fail more often then not.
The errors I am getting are below:
Completed ststus: Failed
Final error: 0xa00084ca - The data being read from teh media is inconsistent.
Final error category: Backup Media Errors
and in the job log:
Verify - \\servername\Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes
Difference encountered in file data.
The file username\Top of Information Store\Contacts\message is different.
An inconsistency was encountered on the storage media in Archive 3.
So far I have tried doing an erase of the tape before the backup was due to run, new tapes, recreating the backup job and trying various different tape drivers including the manufacturers and Veritas drivers.
If I do a backup of the Information Store and do not do the actual mailboxes it does work.
Can anyone help with this.
