BE can do a single pass backup of exchange/sharepoint/AD/VMware/Hyper-V and be able to restore individual objects without having to restore the entire database.

CA has to do two passes for Exch, not sure on the other capabilities.

However, CA can multiplex to tape...

Why not detail your environment, and list your requirements, rather than ask for differences. Sometimes requirements are more important than a feature matrix

Well how about starting with the company that protects near half of the worlds data. Symantec. Both BackupExec and Netbackup make up that marketshare... That should be enough from a marketing standpoint that your customers are getting a reliable product with tremendous marketshare. However, there is more to that.

If you are offering something to your customers, how about start with what YOU are comfortable with in offering and supporting. Obviously there are partner programs and training programs to get involved with, that once passing will allow you access to backline tier 2 support or better... That will be key in supporting your customers going forward.

ARCserve now includes dedup - a good reason for anyone looking at a decent backup solution to take a hard look.[/quote]
