Hi All,

Does anyone know if you can install BE 12.5 Small Business onto a Server 2008 Standard machine with Exchange 2007? I've checked the recommended OS on BE and it says SBS but the small business edition is alot cheaper than buying BE and Exchange agent.

yes Backup Exec Small Business 12.5 works fine with Microsoft Small Business 2008. You have a standard and a premium version just as Microsoft has it with his Small Business version

I'm not using an SBS Box. its a Server 2008 STANDARD box with Exchange 2007 installed as an addition. Will this work with The Small Business version of Backup Exec?

No, when you have a W200x box with Exchange 2007 than you can not use the SBS version of Symantec Backup Exec. You wil have to use Backup Exec with a separate Exchange agent. Function is the same, price is higher

what happened if you try to do that? Does it refuse to install? I noticed both Eval downloads of Backup Exec for Servers and Backup Exec for Small Business Servers are exactly the same so is it down to the key?
