I'm using backup exec 12d in a virtual lab trying to simulate different backups.
In the production enviorment there is going to be
1 Exchange 2003 Server (2 Store Groups)
1 Symantec Backup Exec 12 D server (Fibre attached to SAN)
1 SAN
We want Symantec BE to backup the Exchange DB's to the SAN.
Currently we use NTbackup for full nightly backups.
I started to test Sunday Full backups, and daily Differential backups, but I was wondering about the continous log file backup feature.
If I were to use the continuos say ever 8 hours and did only full backups on Sundays, then I wouldn't need to do the Differential mon-sat, is that correct?
I'm just trying to make sure that I'm going about this the best way.
