More info on Backup Exec 2010-R2
Hi,
If you are a maintenance customer with Symantec the 2010 R2 edition I is available. I believe for 6 months now.
It is required if you wanted to use SharePoint 2010 granular backup. The base 2010 edition will not do granular BU from SP2010.
I upgraded as soon as I could get my hands on it. There was some problems with a hotfix and remote agents - but that seemed to get fixed by a follow on hotfix.
So when you get your 2010 R2 - run live update till there are no more updates to be had

Subject: [BEXEC] More info on Backup Exec 2010-R2
I just returned from the Backup Exec 2010 Administrator course; the R2 version was mentioned and some vague info dropped about additional features and such, but no detailed information. I checked Symantec website with even worse results. Anyone know what's up with Backup Exec 2010-R2? And will we need to get it?
