We have been looking at products to replace our VTL. One requirement on our list is OST compatibility. Can anyone tell me what network infrastructure requirements (if any) need to be met to use NetBackup Open Storage? (FC, IP 1g 10g, etc.) I know we need a vendor with an appliance that subscribes to the OST API, and that we have to have OST licensed on both the NetBackup and appliance vendor side. What I don't know is if there are any specific network infrastructure requirements to use OST. I've done a good amount of research and have been unable to find a technical document outlining the requirements of OST. I have the OST hardware compatibility list for both NBU 6.5 and 7, but that is it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
