Backup Central

Ok ok ok.... So I have looked at SOO MANY Backup articles and read the Manual for Backup EXEC so many times.... AND STILL!! dunno how to do this!! Backup is MY KRYPTONITE!! lol

I'm sure if YOU are reading this now you can take a sec to give me a TIP!

I have Backup EXEC 12d - on a BAckup Server hooked to a SAN
I have a Dell powervault 132t
I have LTO3 400GB /800 GB Taps


OBJECTIVE:

Have Daily backup of Critical databases that can go back to a year
Have monthly + weekly incrementals of data that hardly changes - (Servers Installs, Software, etc. )
Have a month worth daily User/Departmental Data
Have Monthly user/departmental data

Email can be once a month... no biggie here

My DATA in a Ballpark:
150 GB of Servers (Install Directory and Programs, System State)
375 Domino Databases - (Only 60 GB of that is Applications, rest is email)
350 Sound Files - (we do weekly recordings)
350 GB User Data and Departmental Data

Why not hire people to do it?
- We had 2 guys, 2 different times to fix the backups and I KNOW they did not do a job like they should.

- The last guy only left weekly backups plus I noticed last week that the tapes where jumping Media Sets - but after my research I found out that that is not how you assign..

- Maybe leave every new media under scratch media?

Blah! PLEASE HELP!
