Post Uninstalled SQL Express 2005 and installed SQL 2008 R2
Hi everyone,

As mentionned in the subject, I have a client running SBS 2008 and backup is done with Backup Exec System Recovery and Backup Exec. Everything was working perfectly fine as I went through all the installations with default settings, meaning that Backup Exec installed automatically a SQL Express 2005.

They recently bought an ERP which needed SQL Server and their ERP supplier sold them and installed SQL Server 2008 R2. In order to install this SQL 2008, they have completely uninstalled SQL Express 2005 without even noticing me ! Sad

I am now left with backup done only via Backup Exec System Recovery and I can't send anythimg to tape as when I start Backup Exec I get the login screen, and after that : "The Backup Exec Server sytem is not responding. The service is either not running and not installed."

I ran BEUtility and found that, next to the server name, the status in unknown...

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

LF
