Post BEX 3.1.1 on a RHEL 5.4 x64 Server
hello to all out there

i want to install a bex 3.1.1 on a rhel 5.4 server x64.

it is not possible to install bex, because it says, ther is no free place to install ?

the server is complete new ! i have two partitions, /boot with 100mb and / with about 280 GB! why is ther no enough place to install it ?

does teh bex need a special partitioning ?

how is the best to parttion a server, i mean / /usr /var /home /tmp a.s.o...

i mean how big should be any partition ? the server wil be later a progress database server.

thank you for any answer

I am a software engineer for Backup Express and read your posting on the Backup Central Forum. For Linux, the installation needs, 700 MB free space. If you are taking advantage of the virtualization options within BEX, we recommend 1.5 GB. If you have any further question please call us at 201-930-8280
