Amanda 3.3.0 "No acceptable volumes found"

Post Amanda 3.3.0 "No acceptable volumes found"
I receive the error "No acceptable volumes found" when trying to run amcheck on a new setup.

I have been working on switching from Data Protector Express on a CentOS 5.6 server to Amanda 3.3.0. I believe everything else is good to go, I am able to "amlabel" the tape, and when I run "amcheck" to make sure everything's ready, this is what I receive:

-sh-3.2$ amcheck DailySet1
Amanda Tape Server Host Check
-------------------------------------
Holding disk /app/amanda/dumps: 3293184 KB disk space available, using 3190784 KB
slot 0: volume 'DailySet1-08'
No acceptable volumes found

Insert a new volume in tape:/dev/nst0
and press <enter> enter, or ^D to abort.

I noticed the same issue was encountered by someone running 3.2.2 but was unsure if I should use the same patch. I do not have a tape changer, just a single drive.

Thanks!

To fix this error, I changed the taperscan option in "amanda.conf" to "taper_traditional" instead of "taper_lexical". I'm not sure if it has something to do with the fact that I don't have a tape changer and just a single tape. After this change, amcheck and amdump both finished successfully.
