Hi All,

Is anyone here using a Quantum Superloader 3 (I know at least one person is) and
care to share your config details with me? Specifically, how did you set up
amanda.conf to use it.

What kind of drive is in it? I take a look at the specification, but it seems
that is autoloader is available with different kind of drives (e. g. DLT,
LTO-2/3/4):

The tapetype definition from my StorageLoader LTO3 I added to the wiki some
time ago

Hey guys,

I'm in really big problem! Please help me..

I used Quantum Superloader 3 along with Netbackup Veritas running Win Server 2008.

This morning I tried to restore some data which from tape #AA that's currently not in magazine. So I tried to remove an empty tape (never used before) from slot 6 and then inserted tape #AA to retrieve the data.

What happened is this :

1- I inserted tape #AA to slot 6. After a while the LCD display on the panel stated 'EMPTY'. I tried to remove then it stated 'NO SOURCE TAPE'
2- Got advise from netbackup person to restart superloader3, and when it was fully up, all the 8 slots from left magazine were 'EMPTY'!
3- I already power cycle both netbackup server and superloader3, tried to do inventory robot test from netbackup server and superloader3 but both failed.
4- When i reboot superloader3, the panel stated 'UNKNOWN ERROR' then display - SYSTEM ERROR TYPE (AE)
5- I did inventory test from superloader3, still failed with error - Position Error Type (BA)
6- I tried to eject magazine (from the superlaoder), failed with error 'Left Magazine Not Ejected'
7- I tried to eject tape (from the superlaoder, failed with error 'Hardware Error Type (D0) then error 'No Source Tape'

8- I did steps #4-7 first while connecting to netbackup server and then without connecting to netbackup server

Oh great people, help me on this! Really appreciate it.
