I like the enhancements in 2.1.0beta0 thus far.
I am trying out the archive feature and I’m wondering if it is possible to have the archive files created on another machine. I’ve got a DvD burner on a multi-use Windows PC that I wanted to have the archive files created on so I could then burn to DvD w/o having to create them first on the backuppc machine then copy them over to that machine.

Hi Philip,

You can specify the location to store the archive files. Simply smbmount a
share off that Windows PC to the BackupPC server and dump the archives to
there. Just make sure the BackupPC user has permissions to write.

Josh.
