Thanx for the quick reply like always I will try that tomorrow when I get
to work. I tried two users at once (smaller two) and worked perfectly.
The one user I got the error with was user with 8 gig's of backup.
Just curious how is priority set with the backup? The system does not get
heavily at all during the archive. The highest load Ihave seen at the
system so far is when I was backing 3 systems up at one time and it hit
30% usage.

Try turning up the client timeout:
$Conf{ClientTimeout} = 21600;
for example.

Subject: [BackupPC-users] Archiving failing
I am testing out backupc 2.10beta one.
I added computer called archive added the xfter type archive to config.pl
that all seems to function correctly. starts the archive, first tried it
with one users back very little data a few hundred megs. Went through no
problem then I tried it with 3 users (I only have 3 in their currently),
once
after 2 hours and once after 2 hours and 1 second, it says archive failed
(aborted by signal=ALRM). Any ideas what could cause this? Having it
archive the data to a external USB drive.
