Backup Fehler (Child exited prematurely)
Found the following in /var/log/rsync.log on client:
004/02/27 09:07:04 [1242] send_files failed to open
var/log/messages-20040205.gz: Permission denied
2004/02/27 09:07:38 [1242] rsync: writefd_unbuffered failed to write 4096 bytes:
phase "unknown": Connection reset by peer
2004/02/27 09:07:38 [1242] rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream
(code 12) at io.c(515)
Maybe this ist the problem why I cannot backup.
Do you have any ideas how to fix?
Full backup wont work.
Exit with failure:
- got fatal error during xfer (child exited prematurely)
- Dump bortet (child exited prematurely)
Backup-Server and Client are running on Suse 8.2.
Backup ist done by rsyncd.
Please help.
