Post error No space left on device at /home/backuppc/backuppc/lib
Hello backuppc-users,

I've been testing and using backuppc for a couple of months and
weeded out most of the little issues.

But then I got this :-

2004/3/9 13:24:42 linuxserver-a: mkdir /mnt/backup/backuppc/pc/linuxserver-a/new//f%2f/fhome/fdennish/fProgram settings/fThe Bat: No space left on device at /home/backuppc/backuppc/lib/BackupPC/Xfer/RsyncFileIO.pm line 494

Whenever it retries it either gets stuck on the same file, or one in
the same directory, i.e.

2004/3/9 13:24:42 linuxserver-a: mkdir /mnt/backup/backuppc/pc/linuxserver-a/new//f%2f/fhome/fdennish/fProgram settings/fThe Bat: No space left on device at /home/backuppc/backuppc/lib/BackupPC/Xfer/RsyncFileIO.pm line 494

'The Bat' is a windows email program BTW. The bat does store some
hefty filesizes for users with a lot of mail, which may or may not be
an issue.

Any ideas on what the problem is ?? (Have I run out of inodes ??)

The actual backups are being made to /mnt/backup/backuppc not
/home/backuppc/backuppc/lib etc

Also on /mnt/backup/ there is loads of room left !

The error log file is presented below.

Most likely, yes.

As an aside, you should exclude /proc from your backups.
It doesn't contain any permanent data, and there are
things in there that look like regular files that you
won't want to backup.
