Filenames and Directory permissions

Post Filenames and Directory permissions
We have recently installed 2.1.0beta1 BackupPC on Debian Linux 2.6 and it has
been working fine.

But some minor problems have ocurred and I am trying to solve them.

1)When a filename begins with "?" (?p1quest3.fig.gz for example) XferLOG says:

Don't understand 'p1quest3.fig.gz' from child

2)When a user's directory has permission d--x------ (not usual, I know) Xferlog
says:

Unable to open /backup/pc/kama/new/f%2fhome/fpinhanez/ for writing
Botch, no matches on /backup/pc/kama/new/f%2fhome/fmac/fpinhanez/
(d0dfc037226a6977d5fcc39a8ed2c1e4)

Are there some adjustments for that ?

Another thing: I would like to work in BackupPC translation for Brazilian
Portuguese. What should I do ?

Thanks,
paul

I recommend upgrading to 2.1.0. 2.1.0beta1 is older than 2.1.0.

I'll try to replicate this. Are you sure the "?" is just a simple
question mark, and not a special character of some kind that is
displayed as a "?"?

Reginaldo Ferreira recently sent me exactly this (pt_br.pm) for 2.1.0.
I haven't checked it into CVS yet. I can send it if you want.

Yes, it is a question mark. I can copy the file (cp ?p1quest3.fig.gz
destination) and gunzip it (gunzip ?p1quest3.fig.gz).

Yes, I would be grateful.
