Post How to skip smbtar errors
Hello

I do not care about these files with errors, I need that backup process will
continue anyway and all good files would be backed up.

What should I do?

I am getting:

I doubt you have 50000 sharing violations. Look further down the
error log and see what most of the errors are.

Also, this error

NT_STATUS_FILE_CORRUPT_ERROR opening remote file
\cygwin\usr\share\terminfo\c\cg7900 (\cygwin\usr\share\terminfo\c\)

might suggest you should run the WinXX chkdsk utility. That
could be your basic problem.

Log is finishing with normal log entry that was backed
up a file.

might suggest you should run the WinXX chkdsk
But is it possible to configure that way that no mater
how many errors ocure backup process won't stop?

I doubt that is the case. The last few lines should have
errors.

It is quite likely your PC file system is corrupted.
I recommend you try to fix that first rather than
covering up the symptoms.

To answer your question: the 50000 is hardcoded, not configurable.
Feel free to change the code, but I don't recommend a bigger value
because it is likely something more serious on your client is broken.
