Incremental backup
Author Message
Post Incremental backup
Hello,

I'm testing backuppc with Debian 3.0 with w2k station and the latest
samba's version.
I'have two questions :
first, for incrementals backups, it seem that BackupPS save only new
files and not the files how where move from another place ?
second, i have done two full backup from two w2k'stations with 250
Mb each for test, and i'm unable to find where are the files : the
/var/lib/backuppc/pool and cpool are empty, so what ?

thank's for you're explanations

As I understand it, incremental backups fill themselves from the last
full backup. Which has the unfortunate side effect that you must expire
your oldest full backup before it'll let you expire the following
incrementals. Which means you must keep doing full backups every now
and then if you want to expire the incrementals.

Can you see them in the web interface? What about anywhere else in
/var/lib/backuppc? What does "du -ch /var/lib/backuppc" tell you?
