Mirroring Two backuppc server

Post Mirroring Two backuppc server
I am backing up a windows server to a backuppc server and would like to rsync the data from the backuppc server to another backuppc server through a vpn to get the data off site. I have tried to backup the windows server from the remote vpn site but the window of time is kind of limited. So I have decide to put the backuppc server on the same segment as the windows server. Get the backup. Then rsync the stuff thru the vpn. I essentially want the remote backuppc server to look and feel the same as the main backuppc server but obviously if I do the rsync I will be rsyncing the config.pl along with it. I think I can excluded the config.pl through the rsync command can't I? I don't want to use backuppc to rsync but simply launch rsync through a cron job. The backup at the main site would use smb. So essentially the two servers would be the same except for the config.pl(s). Does anyone have any ideas? This stuff is great by the way. Thanks!

This should work. Yes, you can exclude the config.pl file, although you
should copy that offsite too. Don't forget to add the -H (hardlink)
option to rsync to preserve hardlinks. Rsync could take a long time
(and use a lot of memory) if the BackupPC data directory is large.

Alternatively you could use the archive feature to push recent backups
offsite. But that will take more storage.
