Post problem : No files dumped for share C $
Hello,

I try to set up backuppc as backup and
restore my server, I installed it on my backuppc
machine running Debian and I configure ssh to not ask
password root of the machine back up.

but whenever I try to start a backup from
web interface, that it gives me the following error:

Contents of file / var/lib/backuppc/pc/111.111.11.103/XferLOG.bad.z,
modified 2009-08-17 15:52:12 (Extracting only Errors)

Running: / usr / bin / smbclient \ \ \ \ 111.111.11.103 \ C \ $-U-E-d 1-c
tarmode \ full-Tc --
full backup started for share C $
Xfer PIDs are now 3103.3102
Connection to 111.111.11.103 failed (Error NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED)
Connection to 111.111.11.103 failed (Error NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED)
tarExtract: Done: 0 errors, 0 filesExist, 0 sizeExist, 0 sizeExistComp, 0
filesTotal, 0 sizeTotal
Got fatal error during xfer (No files dumped for share C $)
Backup aborted (No files dumped for share C $)
Not saving this as a partial backup since it has fewer lines than the
prior one (got 0 and 0 files versus 0)

I think the problem is that I have not touched the file
BackupPC config.pl, I have not put any shares.

you have an idea?

Thank you very much!

you are using samba/cifs backup, so the ssh doesnt apply
in here...

Connection to 111.111.11.103 failed (Error
NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED) Connection to 111.111.11.103 failed

the remote server isnt responding in its samba/cifs ports,
have you checked if its the correct IP, if its have the
file sharing enabled and if isnt running some firewall?

good luck

Naturally the common people don't want war... but after all it is the
leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a
simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or
a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.
Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of
the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are
being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and
exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.
