Post Problem with Incremental Backups
Hi,
I just installed BackupPc in a Debian machine to back up a few Windows
machines. Everything works fine except for the incremental backups. If I
modify or even delete a file and then do an incremental backup it doesn´t
reflect those changes. However, if I do a complete backup it does reflect
the changes.

Here is the Xfer Error Summary of an incremetal Backup. I anybody can help
I would greatly apprecciate it. Thanks in advance!

Smbclient incrementals are based only on the mtime. So a deleted
file, or a file modification that doesn't change the mtime (including
renaming a file or unpacking files from a zip archive) will not be
detected during an incremental.

Rsync, in contrast, detects deleted files, new files, or any
attribute change (eg: size, exist/delete, owner, modes, mtime)
during an incremental.

Long term I want to look into using the FileSys::SmbClient module
instead of smbclient. This would give BackupPC direct access to
the client files and directories, allowing it to compare all the
attributes and file delete/create against the last full, which
would give more accurate incrementals.
