Problem with new backup

Post Problem with new backup
Hi, i try to configure an instance for backup but i get this error
"Backup failed on _machine_ (aborted by signal=PIPE)"
some tips
- the backuppc installation is new, by default, without any modification.
- the config of the instance machine is by default.
- i use rsyncd method for backup over linux machines
-is running over Ubuntu 10.04-when i run rsync on console over the
rsyncd instance work fine.

i try to search but i dont find nothing, any idea?

regards

That means the other end of the command exited unexpectedly.

This expects a standalone rsync in daemon mode at the other end. It
is usually easier to run over ssh for a linux target.

The module name(s) and password in backuppc need to match the rsyncd config.

Hi Less, thanks for you response.

I already solve the problem, the user on rsync.secrets also has to be
a system user

cheers
