The full backups seemed to pass fine. The incrementals fail consistantly.

Hmmpf.

Will I noticed that I had an old version of rsync on that machine:

$ /usr/bin/rsync --version
rsync version 2.4.1 protocol version 24

Written by Andrew Tridgell and Paul Mackerras

upgrading seems to have fixed my problem.

Great. I haven't tested File::RsyncP against older protocol
versions - 2.4.1 (protocol v24) is a few years old). I also
recommend you upgrade to File::RsyncP 0.47 if you haven't
already.

Perhaps I should add a log file warning if the protocol is old?

I just did. I will let you know if I see any problems.

Not a bad idea.
